Dr. Bartley receives R00 award

photo of Dr. Bartley Dr. Emily Bartley, an Assistant Professor in the College of Dentistry, received a R00 award. This grant provides support for a 3 year continuation of her research titled, “Adaptability and Resilience in Aging Adults.”

A major focus of her research has centered on the assessment of affective modulation of pain and nociceptive processing using psychophysiological testing in patients with acute and chronic pain. Dr. Bartley’s current research interests predominantly focus on investigating the biological and psychosocial factors that impact chronic pain and how these mechanisms affect patient response to intervention. She is particularly interested in adaptive processes that foster resilience in pain, with an emphasis on the development of targeted clinical interventions that promote resilience, goal-directed behavior, and positive health.

Congratulations Dr. Bartley!
