Meet Tatiana Gomez one of PRICE’s volunteers. She is working with Dr. Calia Morias on the PERLA study or Pain Experiences in Latinx Adults study which is investigating how sociocultural factors, such as perceived discrimination, and resilience factors influence biological markers of stress reactivity and pain expectations. During her sophomore year, Tatiana became interested in learning more about conducting research and recently joined PRICE. Tatiana will be applying to dental school this cycle in hopes to part of the UFCD class of 2026 as a general dentist. Since COVID, she started cycling and enjoys riding to Hawthorne Trail and Depot Park between studying.
