Pain and Aging Journal Club- February 2022

The Pain and Aging Journal club is an excellent opportunity for faculty, postdoctoral fellows, students, and staff of various disciplines to interact and address the complexity of pain research. Feel free to share or invite others to this monthly event.

Marilyn Horta Post-Doctoral Fellow

Marilyn Horta, Ph.D., a NIDA T32 post-doctoral fellow in PRICE, will be discussing the impact of chronic pain on social decision-making. In this paper, Timm et al. (2021) investigated whether chronic pain patients responded more sensitively and aversively than healthy individuals to experimentally controlled disadvantageous social inequity via the Ultimatum Game. We will discuss the authors’ findings and implications for future research.
