Hot off the Press! In a study led by Dr. Alisa Johnson, she and co-authors explored brain-predicted age differences between individuals with high- and low-impact chronic knee pain. The authors found that individuals with high-impact chronic knee pain (i.e., chronic pain with severe physical limitations) had “older” appearing brains compared to individuals with low-impact chronic knee pain. Check out her paper here, published in the Journal of Pain Research: https://europepmc.org/article/med/36415658
