Members of the Cruz-Almeida Lab Receive Spotlight for Study on Brain Aging
UF Health and The College of Dentistry recently had a spotlight focused on the findings of the study, “Toward MR protocol-agnostic, unbiased brain age predicted from clinical-grade MRIs” which was conducted and published by members of Yenisel Cruz-Almeida and members of her lab.
The study, which as been published at Nature, covers brain age, a measure of how well the brain is aging. By training a special computer program with MRI scans from different machines, the researchers sought to create a fair and accurate method that would be useful in understanding brain age across different individuals!
