Pain and Aging Journal Club – May 2024

The Pain and Aging Journal club is an excellent opportunity for faculty, postdoctoral fellows, students, and staff of various disciplines to interact and address the complexity of pain research. Feel free to share or invite others to this monthly event.

Every last Friday of each month, we cover new and emerging studies and breakthroughs in pain research. Take part in an open forum conducted by peers and experts in the field!

Dr. Rachel Ho will lead this month’s Pain and Aging Journal Club! The article being discussed is ‘An Ecological Momentary Assessment Study of Pain Intensity Variability: Ascertaining Extent, Predictors, and Associations With Quality of Life, Interference and Health Care Utilization Among Individuals Living With Chronic Low Back Pain’. The article highlights the importance of understanding pain variability in chronic low back pain. By identifying the predictors and consequences of fluctuating pain, the study aims to improve pain management strategies and enhance the quality of life for individuals living with chronic pain.
