Survey Explores Music in Patient Care
A recent survey published in the Journal of Holistic Nursing explores music in patient care; primarily focusing on the experiences of nurses and measuring their outlook on the efficacy of music in patient care.
Overall, the main take away of the survey implied that nurses support the idea of using music to improve patient care, but that they need better access to equipment and resources to make it happen more easily. The article, “Music in Care (MIC) by Nurses: Initial Validation of a Questionnaire to Characterize Nurses’ Attitudes and Feasibility of Implementation on the Use of Music in Patient Care” was co-authored by Jared Tanner and Ellen Terry, amongst other researchers from the College of Nursing, and can be accessed here!
