Research Examines Link Between Alzheimers and Knee Pain

Larissa4400

A new study published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease Reports examines the potential connections between high-impact knee pain and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) in cognitively intact individuals. Conducted by Larissa Strath, Lingsong Meng, Asha Rani, Roger Fillingim, Yenisel Cruz-Almeida, amongst others, the research highlights a possible overlap in DNA methylation profiles related to AD pathways in individuals with chronic pain. The findings emphasize the need for further research on gene expression and the shared biological mechanisms between these conditions!
