Publication Examines Neighborhood Impact On Pain

A new study co-authored by Daniel Kusko, Burel Gooden, Roland Staud and Roger Fillingim alongside researchers from across the country examined how cognition, neighborhood quality and race affected individuals with knee osteoarthritis.
The study, “Neighborhood Context and Race Shape the Relationship Between Cognition and Pain”, has been published in the Journal of Pain!

PRICE Attends USASP 2025

Several members of the PRICE Lab recently attended the 2025 United States Association for the Study of Pain conference in Chicago, IL, contributing research, sharing ideas, and bringing home awards!
Emily Bartley debated Robert Edwards, examining risk vs resilience in pain, pain outcomes and intensity.
