2. Tell us about your current program of research and/or activities and projects that you are currently involved in.

I am currently, working alongside PRICE inputting data, screening participants, scheduling management, and contacting our participants regarding their sessions.

4. Where do you see your career going in the future? What are your goals and aspirations?

Developing into a successful woman in the next 10 years is an aspiration, I plan to pursue in my life. I have accomplished many short-term goals that are accelerating me to my long-term goal of becoming a Physician Assistant specializing in the field of Geriatric Medicine. I want to be able to help grandmothers and grandfathers in my community and in the nation by enabling them to live longer and strive for healthier lives.

5. Tell us something fun that you do in your spare time or any hobbies that you enjoy.

A hobby I enjoy in my spare time is taking in all nature has to offer. During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I adopted my fur-baby, Layla. We love to explore Gainesville's many trails and hidden gems.

3. Tell us about how you got involved in pain and/or aging research. Was there a moment that inspired you?

I got involved with the Pain Lab my sophomore year of college. I was an eager sophomore trying to find research in Geriatric Medicine and I emailed about 10 doctors on UF Geriatric Medicine Division website and Dr. Mankowski responded to my email and referred me to Dr. Cruz Almedia. I say thank you for the privilege of being part of this team – known to be the best– that is on a journey to transform our aging population lives through research. These research studies will be what our aging population will give thanks to for many years to come!
