2. Tell us about your current program of research and/or activities and projects that you are currently involved in.

I am a joint postdoctoral fellow under Dr. Kyle Allen and Dr. Blanka Sharma in the department of biomedical engineering. My main project is developing an intra-articular particle drug delivery system for knee osteoarthritis. We want to test the ability of this system to reduce pain and joint inflammation and improve joint function using small animal models.

4. Where do you see your career going in the future? What are your goals and aspirations?

After my postdoctoral fellowship, I would like to work in a biomedical research laboratory. I like to spend most of my time at the lab bench running experiments and mentoring the next generation of scientists.

5. Tell us something fun that you do in your spare time or any hobbies that you enjoy.

I enjoy hiking in Florida's state parks and identifying wildlife. When it's too hot to go out, I spend my time cross-stitching and listening to horror podcasts.

3. Tell us about how you got involved in pain and/or aging research. Was there a moment that inspired you?

I first became involved in pain research for my doctoral research. I studied pain and inflammation from repeated whole-body vibration exposure in an animal model. In particular, I was interested in determining the effect of whole-body vibration on serum biomarkers, spinal inflammation, and systemic immune responses.
