Dr. Booker Receives Awards

On April 4th, 2018 Dr. Star Booker won the Robert A. Levitt Award in Aging Research from Oak Hammock Institute for Learning in Retirement; Gainesville, FL for her project titled: Predicting Older African Americans’ Engagement in Recommended Management for Osteoarthritis Pain.

On April 14th, 2018 Dr. Booker won the Midwest Nursing Research Society, Symptom Science RIG Dissertation Award; Cleveland, OH for her project titled: HELP FOR OSTEOARTHRITIS PAIN IN AFRICAN AMERICAN ELDERS (HOPE): PATTERNS, PREDICTORS, AND PREFERENCES OF OSTEOARTHRITIS AND CHRONIC JOINT PAIN SELF-MANAGEMENT.
