The proposed exploratory clinical trial will test the feasibility of and determine effect size estimates for a future, more robust clinical trial of PROACTIVE (Pain Relief of musculOskeletal conditions and Arthritis using Culturally Tailored InterVentions for Black Elders).
The goal of the study is to understand how structural racism and discrimination can impact African American and Black patients' chronic pain-related outcomes and also to identify resilience factors that can help protect patients against any adverse effects.
